Hello! My name is Gina Zylstra, and I will be one of your new middle school teachers next year teaching 5-8 Language Arts/Reading, 5-8 Social Studies and 7-8 Bible. My husband Mark and I live in Orange City. We have four children who keep us very busy! Lucy will be a sophomore at Dordt University. Molly is finishing her junior year and Ruby her freshman year at Unity Christian. Henry is a 6th grader at Orange City Christian. I taught 5-6 grades at Newton Christian Grade School and loved that age as well as the small Christian and family focused school. I left teaching to be a stay at home mom and thoroughly enjoyed being home with my kids. We moved from Pella to Orange CIty 4 years ago, and 3 years ago I began working at Unity Christian High School as their secretary. After hearing about the Ireton Christian middle school opening, God would not let me forget about it. He led me to inquire, apply and ultimately accept the teaching job at ICS, and I continue to get more excited to fulfill the call of teaching God has placed on my heart. I am eager to teach His covenant children to discover and develop their God given gifts to further His Kingdom!
