Hello ICS families!
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the incoming principal of Ireton Christian School. It is truly an honor to be a part of the ICS family again. I can assure you that I share in Ireton Christian School’s dedication to Christian education and caring for students while providing them with a meaningful learning environment. I spent the past 14 years working in the public and private education system! I taught first grade for five years, second grade for two years, and 7th/8th grade at ICS for two years. Almost five years ago I opened Excel Achievement in Sioux Center. It is a tutoring center. We specialize in working with students who have dyslexia. Ranging in age from 6 – 18 currently.
This summer, I plan to spend time transitioning between Excel to ICS. I will be working closely with staff to ensure a smooth transition. Every student deserves a quality Christ-centered education and that only happens when the school and the families work together for the best interests of our students. One of my main responsibilities is to put our teachers in the best possible position to succeed, which will put your children in the best possible position to succeed. I am excited to work with the students, teachers, staff, board and parents of ICS as we continue to provide students with a balanced Christ-centered education and a solid foundation for service in God’s world. I look forward to meeting all of you and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share!
My family includes my husband, Kurt (feed lot and D & K Repair), daughters, Sophia (4 years old and loves art, dresses and farming), and twins Kensley (2.5 years old and loves to jump, be outside, and loves dresses) and Isabella (2.5 years old and loves to sing, hold her babies and loves dresses).
