Stina Howie

stinaHello friends! That’s what I call my preschoolers. 🙂 My name is Stina Howie and I am thrilled to be the KOK teacher and director! I am also the volleyball coach this year and have been loving it! My husband Kenton and I live in Orange City and attend Trinity Reformed Church. He is originally from Palmer, Iowa and has worked at De Jong Oil in OC for about 10 years. I grew up in Raymond, Minnesota and attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN for 5 years where I obtained my Elementary and Early Childhood degrees. I graduated in May of 2014, got married and moved to Iowa in August, and spent the last year subbing in the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Sioux Center, Remsen, and Le Mars school districts.

Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was 5 and God placed the desire to teach at a Christian school on my heart during my college years. God has so much in store for us this year and I can’t wait to watch your children grow and learn academically as well as spiritually. Teaching and caring for children has always been a big part of my life and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have students and a classroom to call my own. Thank you for entrusting your child to my care! Christian education is a wonderful thing and I’m so glad I get to be a part of your child’s time here at ICS. I look forward to meeting more of the ICS and Ireton community throughout the school year.
