RALLY DAY WORK & FOOD LIST
…were attached to last week’s note. It can also be found online on the homepage. Please look it over carefully and see what you are required to bring/make and when you work.
MUSIC CLASS NEEDS
Music Class is needing ice cream buckets and 5 gallon buckets for music class. If you have any you are able to donate, please send to school with your child.
Thanks to all who read this summer. This is the last week to get your Summer Reading Bingo sheets in. Prizes will be drawn on Friday. I encourage students and families to keep reading together this school year. Encourage older siblings to practice oral reading skills by reading to younger siblings. Reading to a stuffed animal or pet increases fluency and confidence in reading for younger students. But the best is when moms and dads cuddle up with a child and share a book together.
RALLY DAY SALE – SEPT. 16
Please consider giving/donating to our annual fundraiser. Thanks!!

Orders need to be in the TRIP box in the school office or given to Donna Koopmans by 8:30 AM on order dates in your family envelope. No late orders will be taken. Please try to remind your child to bring the order to their teacher or the office right away when they get to school, so that orders will not be forgotten or late.
All moms of ICS students…You are invited to our 2017-2018 school year Auxiliary Kickoff! Mark your calendars for Monday, September 25, to join us for an evening of fun and fellowship! More details to follow.
We are asking for moms that would be willing to mentor a few new families. Contact Nicki or Marlin at school if you are willing to help us.
Cadets will begin September 27. All boys in the 4th – 8th grade are invited to be in Cadets. Be looking for a Cadet Facebook page coming soon!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES
We will be doing Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes again this year in November. Now is a great time to start buying school supplies while they are cheap. If you have questions, please ask Tammy Sieck. Thanks!
If you order from Amazon, you can go to amazon smile and designate Ireton Christian School as the charity to receive a portion/percent of what you pay.
Are you an ICS parent, grandparent, or supporter, with a
business that you would like to showcase at our 8th annual Ireton
Christian School Ladies Expo Fundraiser on Saturday, November 11?
Crafting? Plexus? Scentsy? Homemade soaps? We’d love to see this
fundraiser benefit both our families, and the school. If interested,
please contact one of the committee members by next week Wednesday,
September 6, so that we can reserve a spot for you! Pamela Fedders
