Ladies Auxiliary Kick-Off

September 20th at 6:30 pm at Ireton Christian School. Our Auxiliary is hosting our annual kick off with an evening of food, fellowship and fun. Returning ICS moms are asked to bring a salad. Teachers do not need to bring anything, just come and enjoy. Please invite any moms and grandmas that would also enjoy this time of fellowship and have a passion for our covenant children. For our fun activity we have invited De Vrier Zusters to help us make magnets. They will have a variety of vintage books for you to pick out and make your own magnets. If you have special fabric or paper that you would love to turn into magnets please bring them! Please RSVP to Chris Van Beek

CADETS … Cadet Kick-off will be on Wednesday, September 28 at the clubhouse. We will meet from 6:30 – 8:00. This is for boys in grades 4th – 8th.

Reminder: Athletic physicals are needed for all students participating in sports. Please send to school as soon as possible.

Upcoming order dates are: October 10, October 31, November 14, November 28, December 12.

Orders need to be in the TRIP box in the school office or given to Donna Koopmans by 8:30 AM on order dates in your family envelope. No late orders will be taken. Do not fax or call orders to my house – money needs to accompany orders or they will not be processed. Please try to remind your child to bring the order to their teacher or the office right away when they get to school, so that orders will not be forgotten or late.

Accelerated Reader Information:
Accelerated Reader is an online program we use for grades 3-8. Each grade has a different amount of points needed each quarter. These are put on each grade’s weekly note. Students are only allowed to take these quizzes at school. But parents can login at home and check their child’s progress. On the Ireton Christian school website on the homepage under the “helpful to you” section, there is a link called ” AR Home Connect”. Parents can login with the child’s login they use at school and view their progress, which books they’ve taken quizzes on (the bookshelf), and also which books are available to take quizzes on and how many points it is worth (AR Book Finder…bottom right corner). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher.
