Reminder… If your child has different plans after school and has to get off the bus other than their home location, a note MUST be sent and given to the bus driver.  The bus drivers will NOT allow children to get off the bus at any location other than their house if they do not have a note.



Have you been contacting people to sponsor you for the Jog-A-Thon?  Remember to contact your grandparents, neighbors and friends of ICS.  Invite them to come and watch you participate too. Your completed sponsor sheet is DUE OCTOBER 9, the MONDAY after Heartland Break!!  Work hard on getting those sheets full because this is a way YOU can help out our school.  The Jog-A-Thon will be starting at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, October 11th right after school.  Also, the BUSES WILL NOT be running the afternoon of the jog-a-thon, so if parents are not able to be there, please make arrangements to get your children home.  If you have questions, please contact Angela Dekkers (539-8179) or JinHee Klompien (540-6897)

TRIP questions can be answered by Donna or Nicki at school on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 8:30 – 2:00.

Orders need to be in the TRIP box in the school office or given to Donna Koopmans by 8:30 AM on order dates in your family envelopeNo late orders will be taken. Do not fax or call orders to my house – money needs to accompany orders or they will not be processed. Please try to remind your child to bring the order to their teacher or the office right away when they get to school, so that orders will not be forgotten or late.


The time is coming closer to pack the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  We will be packing the boxes for our November chapel activity which is November 3.  I have ordered material that will explain how to pack a shoebox and what to put in it but for now here are a few things we will need……

Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraiser

“Kids of the Kingdom Preschool is currently selling Little Caesar’s pizza kits and also included are four new flavors of cookie dough.  KOK will not be selling any other cookie dough this school year.  If you would like to order, please contact a KOK parent, or Mrs. Stina.  Orders with payments are due by Oct 13, the delivery will be Oct 25.  Thank you for your support!”

** This is a vital fundraiser for our current preschool program.  The fundraisers need to net approximately $5000 to balance the preschool budget.  KOK Families, please do your part to support the KOK program.



BOX TOPS fall deadline is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25, less than a month away. Please send all box tops bundled in groups of 50 to school by Wednesday, October 25.  Please make sure expiration dates are November 1, 2017 or later.  Thank you for supporting this fundraiser by clipping the box tops off boxes of items you already purchase! Our goal is to raise $1000 for our school this year (that’s 10,000 box tops!)


100th Anniversary Items for Sale…

Stop by the school office and pick-up any of the 100th anniversary souvenirs.  We have history books ($15), sweatshirt blankets ($25), stainless steel tumblers ($15), coffee mug ($10), DVD’s ($10), and magnets.  (Good deal on a bundle…1 of each item for $70 total). Stop by the school office anytime during school hours to purchase any of these items.



With harvest approaching, school will be out of a bus driver for the west bus route.  We want parents to be aware that there might be days when we will be notifying you that other arrangements must be made for you to get your child(ren) to school and picked up.  So, please start planning accordingly with car pools, etc.  Thank you in advance for being so understanding.  If you know of anyone who is interested in driving bus, please let Marlin know.
