ICS Apparel Order deadline was TODAY!!

If you forgot , we will only be accepting orders until Friday at noon. We are not ordering any extras and will only be placing one order. Please don’t miss this opportunity to support your school and show your school spirit!!

 

BOXTOPS deadline is Friday!!

Thank you to all who have been turning in boxtops! We have collected a little over 2600 boxtops, $260.  Last year we collected $779.44 worth of boxtops for this fall deadline. The BOX TOP Deadline is this Friday, October 24. Keep collecting and turning in your baggies of 50 boxtops with your family’s name on them.  Turn in bonus boxtops separately with your name on that bag.

CHANGE NEEDED for Feed My Starving Children! Please send any change you have to school to help us reach our goal of $450 for Feed My Starving Children.

 

100th Anniversary Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, October 28 at 4:00 PM.

DATE CHANGE: BOOK FAIR IS COMING!

Enter the Kingdom of Scholastic Books in the All Purpose Room November 5 and 6.  Browse through the books while you attend Parent/Teacher’s Conferences from 3:30 – 8:00 PM.  Books for all ages will be displayed. Scholastic gives us 40 % of our book sales to be used in purchasing their product.  Books make great gifts and It’s a great way to help our library grow as well as encouraging reading.

 

CALLING ALL VETERANS

Ireton Christian School would like to honor veterans on Veteran Day, November 11.  We thank you for your service to our country. We are looking for veterans that would be willing to spend 10 minutes or more talking to a classroom of students about serving for our country.  If you would be willing to help in this way, please call the school at 278-2245 to let us know what age students you would be willing to talk to and what time works best for you.  

 

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Christmas is coming sooner than we think. This year we will be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes like we have in the past. This is our November chapel outreach. Please help us in filling many boxes so others will have a blessed Christmas. If you would like to read more about it you can go online at http://www.samaritanspurse.org/. Donations need to be at school by November 14. There is also a $7.00 shipping fee per box so monetary donations are welcome as well. Thanks for helping us. BASKETBALL PRACTICE will start week of Nov 10-14

 

Reading Rodeo:

Kindergarten – 15 minutes/day

1st & 2nd Grade – 20 minutes/day

3rd & 4th Grade – 25 minutes/day

5th & 8th Grade – 30 minutes/day

  • Please encourages your child to read each day
  • May read books, newspapers, magazines, etc. outside of class time
  • Students who reach the goal for the month will receive a certificate for a FREE personal pan pizza at Pizza Ranch
  • This begins in October and goes through April

 

 

 

TRIP NEWS:

Upcoming Order Dates:  November 3, November 17, December 1, and December 15 (last order date before Christmas).

Marriot Hotel is no longer available to order.

Trip Order dates will be every 2 weeks when school begins. This will only be that way for the first semester. Second semester it will go back to every three weeks.

TRIP will be available in the office on Monday 8:15-2:00, Wednesday 8:15-3:00, and Friday 8:15-2:00.
