IOWA STATE BANK’S CHRISTMAS CARDis back again this year. Iowa State Bank in Ireton is once again having the “Christmas Card” at the bank and for every signature that designates Ireton Christian School as the recipient; the bank will donate $5.00 to the school. This is open for anyone to do, so parents can sign the card and bring their children to sign also. The card will be available from November 24-December 19. So, please take a moment to stop in, sign the card, and vote for Ireton Christian School!

HAWARDEN CRC HOLIDAY BAKE SALE

(formerly Cookie Walk) will be held at the Community Center in Hawarden on December 6 from 10:00 – 2:00 or until sold out. While you are shopping for your goodies, come and enjoy the festival of tree that is put on by chamber and support two great causes.

 

 

Basketball Jersey Information

Reminder that the basketball jerseys should be washed inside out.

This will help the screen print last longer.

BAKE SALE!!

It’s time for the annual fall/winter bake sale. We will be having the bake sale along with the Ladies Expo. We are asking each family to bring at least 3-4 items to sell- more is welcomed.  Please have items labeled and priced. Be creative and have some fun with it. The list below is a good suggestion but if you have more/different items to bring please feel free.

 

Please have your items to school by 4 pm on Friday Dec. 5th or at the community center by 8am Saturday morning. Thanks for all the effort and support! Remember this is to help support our children!

$ 3-5 for mini breads

$ 5 for half dozen muffins

$ 8-12 for pies-fruit,cream,fresh,frozen

$ 5-7 per dozen christmas candies or cookies

Other suggestions: $ 5 canned jams,pickles,salsa, meat or $5-7 quarts of canned soup

$ 3-5 cookie/bar in a jar mix, hot chocolate mix

$ 15-25 for full frozen meals

 

 

TRIP NEWS:

Upcoming Order Dates:  December 1, and December 15 (last order date before Christmas).

We have a limited supply of $10 Applebees, $10 Target, $10 Wal-Mart and

$5 Barnes and Noble for purchase. These would make great holiday gifts. These can ONLY be purchased by coming to school and buying from the secretary. Please don’t add these to your regular TRIP order in case the supply is gone.

TRIP will be available in the office on Monday 8:15-2:00, Wednesday 8:15-3:00, and Friday 8:15-2:00.

December 10      6:30 – 8:00 PM

December 17      6:30 – 8:00 PM (Snow derby practice)

December 27      8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Snow Derby)

 

Reading Rodeo:

Kindergarten – 15 minutes/day

1st & 2nd Grade – 20 minutes/day

3rd & 4th Grade – 25 minutes/day

5th & 8th Grade – 30 minutes/day

  • Please encourages your child to read each day
  • May read books, newspapers, magazines, etc. outside of class time
  • Students who reach the goal for the month will receive a certificate for a FREE personal pan pizza at Pizza Ranch
  • This begins in October and goes through April
