My name is Mary Goslinga. I teach 1st-2nd grade at ICS. After attending Dordt College, I taught 1st-2nd grade in Hospers Christian School for four years and then 2nd grade in the Sioux City Community Schools for three years. Now I have been teaching in ICS for 24 years. That really doesn’t seem possible.
I am especially interested in music and I love to play the piano while listening to everyone else sing God’s praises. It is an amazing privilege to lead people’s voices and hearts in worship. I also enjoy two new granddaughters.
Teaching at ICS is a wonderful privilege every day. When children learn scripture, love the Bible stories, pray to God and express their faith daily, it becomes an act of worship. That is what is important—Psalm 100:5b “His faithfulness continues through all generations.” When children learn to read, that is a gift for life. I wish to educate the children to become what God intends for them to become as adults, living their life in service to Him.
