SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK 2015

Iowa Severe Weather Awareness Week will take place March 23-27.

State and local emergency management officials, along with the National Weather Service, stress the continued need and importance of education and preparedness for severe weather that may affect Iowans. Citizens should remember that a little planning can prevent unnecessary panic and confusion if a severe storm or tornado does strike.  Preteen and Teen Vaccinations

Most parents are familiar with infant and preschool vaccination requirements, however many are not aware that age 11 kids are due for additional vaccinations. Vaccinations provide a key to the prevention of many diseases. Talk to your healthcare provider about protecting your son or daughter by getting them vaccinated!

Ask if your child is up-to-date on vaccinations during their:

  • Annual wellness visits
  • School or sports physicals
  • Every medical care visit

Vaccines for the preteen and teen include:

  • HPV
  • Meningococcal
  • Tdap

Community Health Partners and your local medical providers encourage you to keep your kids safe – get them vaccinated. If you have questions or would like additional information please call Community Health Partners (712) 737-2971 or your local medical provider.
