BLUEGRASS GOSPEL CONCERT PACKETS
went home on last Monday. So, hopefully everyone got theirs and is sending out their letters and making phone calls. The 17th Annual ICS Bluegrass Concert will take place on March 28, 2015 at the BJ Haan Auditorium in Sioux Center. This year, the concert it earlier, March 28, so we will need everyone’s cooperation in getting out their letters soon! Please remember this is a HUGE part of our school’s financial needs. Also, please don’t forget to send a Thank You! It is vitally important. Your follow-up can make a difference in consistent contributors.
Deadline to turn in packets is only 2 weeks away on Monday, February 2!!
NEW THIS YEAR:
We added a line to the business letter that states we MUST have their donation
by March 11 if they want to be included in the program.
We are also including posters in the packets this year for you to hand out/hang
up at the businesses you contact. So, please help us get those hung up

FEBRUARY –READ-A-MILLION MINUTES PROGRAM
Will run for the month of February
(this takes the place of “Reading Rodeo” for the month)
Students will need to complete weekly slips and parents need to sign verifying the minutes read. Students who complete the 4 weekly slips will attend a party in March!
Preschool – 10 minutes/day (read to by parents)
Kindergarten – 15 minutes/day
1st & 2nd Grade – 20 minutes/day
3rd & 4th Grade – 25 minutes/day
5th & 8th Grade – 30 minutes/day
The next BOXTOP deadline (February 18) is quickly approaching! We have already turned in about $585.00 in boxtops for the year. Can you help us reach our goal of $1,000?
To help us reach our goal:
- ask family, friends, grandparents to save boxtops for our school
- check your packages for boxtops
- cut out and trim your boxtops
- check expiration dates (must be March 2015 or later)
- count out boxtops into bundles of 50 and put each bundle into a
- plastic or ziploc bag
- keep BONUS boxtops separate from the bundles of 50, count how many you have and turn those in separately
- Write your family name on the bags. We hope to give out a prize to the ICS family that turns the most boxtops in from our last collection date in October until February 18.
