Hi! My name is Jacquelyn Buma and I am looking forward to joining the Ireton Christian family next fall as the 5th/6th grade homeroom and 5th-8th grade math and science teacher. My husband, Michael and I will be moving up to Orange City from Pella this summer (from one Iowa Dutch town to the other). We got married last summer after I graduated from Dordt. I grew up in Sheldon, so I am looking forward to being back in Northwest Iowa again. This will be my first year teaching, and I am excited to be back in the classroom, on the other side of things this time! My husband and I love to spend time outside camping, hiking, kayaking, disc golfing, hammocking, swimming, hanging out at bonfires, you name it! If it’s outside, we love it! I am excited to begin building new relationships in a new community, and look forward to meeting my students, as well as their families. I have a passion for teaching and learning, and I am excited to see what God does this year!
