Ireton Christian School will be hosting a Soup Supper and Cookie Walk on Monday, December 18. Serving from 5-7pm in the gym. Soups: chili, potato, chicken. Taverns, coneys and hotdogs, pies, desserts and ice cream. Free will donation. Please make sure you look at the lists and know what you are required to bring.

CHRISTMAS COOKIE WALK ON MONDAY!
For the soup supper bake sale this year, we will be having a Christmas goodie plate. We are asking each family to bring 3 doz (or more) Christmas cookies and/or candy to school by 4:00 PM on Monday. (They do not need to be priced.) At the soup supper, you can look at what is available & pick what you would like to put on your plate. We will weigh your selection & each pound will sell for $7. Some ideas for goodies to bring are fudge, Christmas cutout cookies, peanut butter balls, oreo balls, bing bars, peanut clusters, etc. These will make great snacks to take to all those holiday gatherings, give away to teachers, mailmen, bus drivers, etc. Any questions, please contact Kim Rens or Angela Kuperus
Reminder that ALL students (Preschool – 8th grade) need outdoor winter clothing brought to school each day. This includes boots, snow pants, gloves, and stocking hat.

It’s Christmas time and the season of giving. We would like to show our teachers, and all of our staff (bus drivers, cook, librarian, secretaries, and everyone who works here in our school) how much we appreciate what they do for our school. So, we need your help in giving our staff a Christmas gift from all of us here at ICS and KOK. If you would like to contribute to the gift we give the teachers and staff there will be a box sitting out by the office for the next few weeks, and also sitting out at the musical coming up next week for you to place your money in. Please help us give a gift to our staff this holiday season. The PTA will take this money and equally distribute it between all the staff before the Christmas break. Hot Lunch Accounts
We are having a Hot Lunch audit by the state in February and ALL hot lunch accounts must be paid up. So, please try to stay current on your hot lunch bill.

Ireton Christian School will be hosting its 2nd annual ice fishing tournament on January 20, 2018 at Emerson Bay on West Lake Okoboji. More details and info to come in next month’s announcements and on the school website.
100TH ANNIVERSARY ITEMS…
A flyer went home on Friday with discounted 100th Anniversary souvenir items. These would make great Christmas gifts for that hard to buy for person. Items can be purchased by stopping at school during school hours. Let us make your Christmas shopping a little easier this year while supporting your school.
Upcoming order dates are: January 15, February 5, February 26, March 19, April 9 (last order before cutoff), May 7.
TRIP questions can be answered by Donna or Nicki at school on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 8:30 – 2:00.
TRIP Order form can be printed off the school website if you need one.
Orders need to be in the TRIP box in the school office or given to Donna Koopmans by 8:30 AM on order dates in your family envelope. No late orders will be taken. Do not fax or call orders to my house – money needs to accompany orders or they will not be processed. Please try to remind your child to bring the order to their teacher or the office right away when they get to school, so that orders will not be forgotten or late.

Jr. High Des Moines Trip
We are planning on Thursday, May 3 to go on our Jr. High Des Moines Trip. Each student will need to raise $40-45 for the trip. This includes fee for Living History Farms and 2 meals. We encourage students to do jobs to earn money instead of parents paying for it. Ideas include…bake sale, raking leaves, helping grandparents.
