Father,

We thank you for this opportunity to begin this new school year, and we ask that you bless the students, faculty, and student families that make our school a great place. We pray that you will guide us in all ways, so that we will seek your will in everything that we do. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

 

WELCOME NEW FAMILIES TO ICS:

Aaron and Marisssa Maassen and son Aric from Maurice.

Aric is in Kindergarten.

Dave and Rachel Van Klompenburg and son Samuel from Maurice.

Sam is in Kindergarten

Jayson and Melody Pullman and children Hope and Paul from Hawarden.

Hope is in 4th Grade and Paul is in 1st Grade.

TRIP NEWS:

Upcoming Order Dates: September 8, September 22, October 6, October 20, November 3, November 17, December 1, and December 15 (last order date before Christmas).

Trip Order dates will be every 2 weeks when school begins. This will only be that way for the first semester. Second semester it will go back to every three weeks.

Center Sports will no longer be available through our TRIP Program.

TRIP will be available in the office on Monday 8:15-2:00, Wednesday 8:15-3:00, and Friday 8:15-2:00.

 

RALLY DAY SALE:is scheduled for Saturday, September 6 at 6:30 PM. Please have your donations to school after 3:00 on Friday and all day Saturday. We will be serving lunch beginning at 5:00 PM, so come early to eat and browse through the items on the auction. The menu includes, tavern, coney dogs, pie/dessert, ice cream, lemonade, coffee & water. Tables will be set up in the all purpose room to eat at, for your convenience. The worklist will be coming home soon, so please watch for that so you know what is required of you. Keep this night open and come and support our school. We hope to see all of you at this wonderful event. Thanks!

 

5K Run/1 Mile Walk:is scheduled for Saturday, September 27 beginning at 9:00 AM. Attached to this note is information and a registration form. Deadline to turn in registration form with payment is Wednesday, September 10. Additional forms are available online at www.iretonchristianschool.com.

 

REMINDER:Grade 3-8 students need the

Daily Assignment Book signed by a parent EACHday.

 

SPORTS PHYSICALS:Students participating in sports need to turn in a physical form signed by a doctor before participating in any sport.

NEW (Required by state): Grade 7-8 need to complete a concussion form and parents sign and turn in to the office also.
