We have closed out the 07-08 TRIP year. This year we made a little over $11,000.00. We want to thank all the parents and grandparents that support this program. We had a few parents that earned over $700 toward their tuition accounts. This program is a great way to help pay your tuition and it doesn't cost anymore than you would normally spend. You just have to remember to use TRIP gift cards or certificates to pay for groceries and other purchases you make. It helps alot to get family and friends to order TRIP through you, also. This coming year I would like to promote the Cash & Carry or on-hand inventory part of the program more. I would like to keep more TRIP on hand so people could call between order dates to purchase TRIP to use for groceries, unexpected shopping trips, etc. But I would like to know what you would like to see me keep in the inventory - TRIP that you would probably use throughout the year. Please let me know some of the merchants you would like to see me keep on hand. You can call me at #278-2506 and just leave a message. If we can get more people to regularly use the TRIP program maybe we could go to ordering every other week. Let's try to make the 2008-2009 year a very successfuly year for the ICS General Fund and your tuition account.
Remember to use up any old Family Table certificates you have since we have gone to smaller laminated cards now. Remember they still do not give change back from the cards either.
We are changing the look of our Family Table certificates. The new ones are laminated and smaller which will make it easier to reuse them. If you have any of the old paper certificates please try to use them up within the next few weeks so that there won't be any confusion with the Family Table.

We have a new business that has joined the TRIP program. Hair on Hickory (owned by former ICS student Shondra Noteboom Wielenga) has joined our program. Certificates will be available in $5/$10 denominations with a 5% discount (no change will be given). She is located at 3295 Hickory Ave., Hull; Phone #712-439-1973. I will try to keep certificates on hand for purchase at any time.

Have you been using TRIP faithfully this year? We have some families that have made over $500 already this year. With the high price of gas and everything else wouldn't you like to get credit for your tuition by using TRIP and not spending any extra money? Make sure you get your family and friends to help you also because the more people you have using TRIP the faster your credit will grow.
The Sioux Center Cinema 5 Adult Movie ticket has a percentage change. It will still be $6.00 but the percentage is 16.6%.
Something new that has been added is a cascading card file. It has 10 pockets with a band around to make it a great way to store gift cards in your purse and it doesn't take up much room. They are $2.96 with 25% discount profit. I have one on hand if you would like to see it.
Wal-Mart has also joined our national distributor. If you would like to order them through the national distributor they are available in $25/$100 cards with 2%. There will not be a limit on the amount you can order through them.
Quizno's has stopped working with our TRIP supplier so it is no longer available.
If you are using your child's Book-It remember to call and get some Pizza Hut certificates also.
TCBY is no longer available.
TGI Friday's has changed from $20 cards to $25 gift cards.
Dunham's Sports has joined the TRIP program. They are $25 cards with 8% discount.
Kay Jewelers has also joined with $25 cards at 12%.
We have added Michael's to our merchant list. They are available in a $25 gift card with a 4% discount.
Family Christian Bookstore has changed from a $10 paper certificate to a $25 gift card.
KB Toy has changed to $20 instead of $10.
Chili's has changed to a $25 prepaid gift card. The $20 is no longer available.
K-Mart has changed from a 2% discount to 4%.
Long John Silver's is available again in a $5 certificate.
Subway $10 gift cards are now available at a 3% discount.
9:00 AM is now the deadline for TRIP orders on order dates.
Orders need to be in the TRIP box in the school office or given to Donna Koopmans by 9:00 AM on order dates. Please note the change in time. No late orders will be taken. Do not fax or call orders to my house - money needs to accompany orders or they will not be processed. Please try to remind your child to bring the order to their teacher or the office right away when they get to school, so that orders will not be forgotten or late.
Just a reminder that orders that are late in getting in will not be able to be processed. I will fill them with anything that I might have on hand but if it's something I don't have I will not be placing extra orders to fill them. I also need the money with the orders.

Starting May 1, Sioux Center Pizza Ranch will no longer accept vouchers. They will be going to paper certificates like we already are doing with Orange City Pizza Ranch. The certificates will be available in $5/$10/$20 denominations. You will need to specify if you want Orange City or Sioux Center Pizza Ranch when you order them. The percentage rate will stay at 10% but you can not get change back from the certificates. So if your bill is $12.50, you could use a $10 certificate but you would have to pay the $2.50 with cash or check. I will try to carry some of these on hand. Please inform your family and friends that the vouchers will no longer be accepted at the Sioux Center Pizza Ranch after April.
There is a change with Furniture Mart in Sioux Center. From now on, you will NOT be getting a certificate, BUT, you need to tell me who will be using the TRIP so I can tell Furniture Mart. They will then credit that account and when you go in there to make your purchase or pay any additional charges they should already have the credit from ICS TRIP there. If you have any questions, please call me before purchasing Furniture Mart TRIP. Remember it cannot be used for tax, labor, or delivery and they do not want you to purchase them for a gift. They want you to use them only for yourself. Limit of $3000 per year per tuition account.
Keep using TRIP as much as possible and it will surprise you how much tuition credit you can earn. Remember to get other family members to use TRIP also. Don't forget about the vouchers for Hawarden Pizza Ranch, Pro Sport Bistro, In-Weave, Dr. Beaver, & Dr. Beernink. Vouchers can be printed from the TRIP part of the school website.
Hills Electronics has informed us they will be changing the way they participate with our program. You need to go to the store and apply for a credit card. Tell them that you are participating in the ICS TRIP program and then when you use the card they will send 3% back to our school for all purchases made at Hills Electronics on that credit card. They will keep track of individual amounts and let me know how to divide it out. The Radio Shack cards can only be used on Radio Shack merchandise anymore.
Cinema 5 Theater certificates are also available in $1 amounts with 10% discount, these can be used on concessions or tickets.
